New JB4 - This Thing is EXCELLENT! -
11-29-2021, 01:13 PM
Everyone,
I just installed my new JB4. It is excellent!
Installation was easy and there was only one code shown. That was on Map 5 at WOT the first time. After that, there have been no codes.
My car has a 7.5" FMIC and charge pipe.
One question: How do I get the JB4 to retain setting 6-3? It keeps going back to 6-8 (gauge needle sweep).

After you toggle menu 6/3 it should stay at it's current setting until you change it again regardless of menu 6 settings. Those are two completely different functions/settings.

Steve, when I set 6-3 then select a higher number on the speedo side, then come back to 6, the setting was not retained. How can I fix the memory issue?
I also have it set at 4-3.
I also had to set 5-2 (335i) because the needle position was off after a few days. I could only tell the difference when I went inside the JB4 menu.
Thank you for your help.

How do you know it wasn't retained? When going back in to menu 6/3, that is a toggle and it has nothing to do with the gauge sweep option. There are multiple settings under menu 6.

Steve, how can I get it to retain the turn signal flash for temperature? I set it, leave it overnight and when it warms up it never flashes. The gauge sweep is still there.
Also, the JB4 has caused my screen to dim and removed my GPS map. It takes some time driving before I can add those back manually.
