Default Adjusting RPM for Launch Control - 03-09-2019, 09:02 AM

Are there any plans to increase the RPM for Launch Control?

Few have stated that it launches at too low of an RPM...thus not being aggressive enough.

Thanks

Ok...nobody has replied to this. So I am bringing it up again.

I have been playing around with LC on the G70 a lot the past few days playing with my JB4.

LC allows the RPM's to get to 2,200. That's it. Brutal. I have tried turning off only traction control in Sport...and using the brake/gas technical...the car only allows 2,000 RPM.

So in theory...LC only allows you to go 200 RPM higher. Now that is a joke.

The car takes off quite slowly and then it gets there very fast. I swear if it launched better I could get 0.2-0.3 seconds more out of it.

So with all that said...

1. Is there any way the JB4 can increase the RPM's for LC? Even 3,000 would probably be awesome.

2. If not...are there any tricks to getting the RPM's up to get this thing going faster?

Side note...the Genesis G80 3.3T Sport does not have LC. Yet...by turning traction and stability off...and doing brake/gas...car can be launched at close to 2,700 RPM.

Anyhoo...any thoughts please?

Thank you.

We can't change the RPM set point on that on the JB4 side, but it's revving without load, so I don't know that a higher RPM is going to make a dramatic difference in power off the line, either.

We'll have to see what flash tuners come up for that front when flashing tools open up. A good back end flash map allowing a harder launch, a safe speed limiter removal, and a couple minor tweaks, would be great.
