Default Mysterious check engine light... - 09-13-2016, 12:09 PM
I started a post in N54, and was advised to check here. I have an 09535xi... I did the jb4 code read and it came back with just 2 digits. My understanding is there should be at least 4. I did speedo 1, then tach 1... and it blinked twice and went to 20, back to zero... then to 85 and blinked 4 times. Any ideas?

Invest in jb4 app and data cable

I wished I could help you man. I've never used the tach to read codes. I've always had jb4 mobile when I had my jb4. I'm sure someone will help u though. Good luck

Well I was hoping to fix this asap, as opposed to waiting on a cable, and then time to install it... the error the dealer had said 'low boost pressure'... not sure if that helps.

Change every vaccum line it's cheap and easy, check all your i/c piping chargepipe etc. I had holes in my vaccum lines with 29k miles and they looked perfect until tested under water.

I changed the two easy ones up top... the one that runs along the block doesnt seem to easy to change... but I guess it's time to roll up my sleeves and dig in.

Reset your gauges. You should get only numbers in steps of ten; 70, 80, 90 ...
Also if you have 2 numbers the same, say 30ff, the spedo will stay on 150 a little longer. It takes a bit to get used to.

Sometimes you have to do the process a few times to get all the numbers right.
