Default N54 HPFP Problem - 05-27-2018, 10:59 AM

Hello.

I have problem with my N54 with HPFP pressure, it started drop every acceleration suddenly and high pressure drops and JB4 give 29DC Cylinder injection switch-off. It worked fine until one full throttle came strong sound like silicone tube blows etc. But nothing found yet.

I have stage 2 turbos and wallbro stage 2 LPFP, RACE back end flash is installed and 40% ethanol mixture.
Running already 6000 miles without problems.

There is 3 attached JB4 logs.
And one picture where can see drops black line HPFP.

One more log, it looks like low pressure drops first , even Wallbro 450 is only one year old.

I just started getting the same code 29DC. From everything ive read i believe it to be the case that the HPFP is bad. I just replaced injectors, stage 2 LPFP.

Just bought a new pump from FCP euro with the Lifetime Warranty. 350 plus core charge. Will be in today and can update my findings once installed.

Stealership wanted 900 for one and only came with a 2 year unlimited warranty.

It was still LPFP problem, there was installed Wlabro 450 to original cover and that mounting was loose so fuel pump turned and it get air with low level fuel.

Now it is fixed and pressures are current level.

Glad you figured out the issue. I just did mine as well and that could be the problem. either way i just bought a new HPFP.

If anyone is looking at doing a Single turbo swap. even if all the bells and whistles are included in the kit ( lets say 5,000) be prepared for everything else to **** the bucket. As of now since swap. ive spend roughly 12,000 on parts no labor in that.

If you are going to run stage 2 turbos then be prepared to need port injection. You could band aid it with meth but that's deemed risky.

UK FBO 335i, GCs, JB4, PI meth, BMS CP, OCC, Braided brake lines. Diff Lockdown. TMAP sensor, custom bucketless stage2

11.79@119mph on stockers, CP meth (UK, Santa Pod)
11.74@129mph on GCs, custom port meth injection.
