Anybody have a blow off valve for their 135i? I wanted to get one but don't know too much about them. What are the best ones?

I recently got the Stett charge pipe with Tial BOV for my 135i. I bought it mostly for the meth injection bunges that are on the chargepipe. I wasn't real sure about getting a BOV at the time. I installed it about two weeks ago and LOVE it. The sound is addicting. I can hear the "woosh" of the air being sucked in through my BMS dual cone intake as I push down on the gas and then when I let off the gas there is a loud "boosh" from my Tial BOV.

Not sure how the Tial compares to the other brands, but I'm very happy with it.

That's the problem with BOV's imo. I had the Stett/Tial and at first I loved it. I couldn't get enough of the "boosh"... Eventually my need to hear the sound started to kill my gas mileage lol... Eventually the sound got old and annoying... Eventually I sold it and haven't regretted it at all. My gas mileage has returned to normal since I don't chase the "boosh" anymore. The car is just as fast, much quieter and a bit lighter (the Stett pipe is like an anvil).

P.S. The bungs on the Stett are poorly placed imo... I would suggest using the stock chargepipe rather than relying on Stett/Snow's testing. Imo the bungs belong on the inter cooler side of the chargepipe.

I hear ya. If I get sick of it I'll take off my charge pipe/bov. With all these HPFP issues with our cars it seems like I am reverted to stock half the times anyways. The funny thing is that I've become so addicted to the "boosh" that I will be removing my AR *** becasue they are too loud and are drowning out my DCI and BOV sound.

Personally IMO I beleive the best place for the meth bungs is closer to the TB. There are many sources and logical reasons for this. The cooling effect of the IAT's don't do any good if its already hot again or evaporated by the time it hits the cylinder. Maximum cooling effect will require less time for the air to re-heat.

As far as the charge pipe.... Eh, no problems with my CP-E though.

Well obviously I like how mine sounds. But I dont dislike the SSQV or others either. There really arent too many I dont like to be honest in terms of sound.

I know friends with big HP cars, and others generally go with a Tial BOV. I happened to get one with this charge pipe so it was a win win.

Can you purchase these with "DV's" instead of the "BOV's"?

My issue is I would like to replace the stock charge pipe as with my Injun intake had problems with it blowing off. That sucks as the car just goes limp...

scootrdr u can get the charge pipe from EVO racewerks that will not blow off with the Tial bov or HKS bov, they make both with fitment that could clear room for ur injen intake but u need to tell them that u got the injen or else the Tial bov or HKS it will not fit
