I've got a dedicated track car but I would like to use the 335i as a backup so I'm going to lightly prep so it wont limp on me.

It's a 2007 335i and has a JB4 & snow meth kit

I'm thinking this is what I need to do.

map1 with maxcool is going to backend flash any benefit for this? I have MHD already setup if needed
another oil cooler
HPDE pads that can handle advanced run group speeds.

anything else needed? I might get some camber plates too so I do not destroy the tires too quick, will be on street tires, probably > 200 tw too as it is a daily driver

- get rid of the meth kit, they aren't reliable enough for track use. you really dont want to hydrolock the engine because of jammed solenoid or something.

- does your car have an oil cooler? if it does, you will be ok for some light track use at 6/10 pace.

- don't expect to keep up with the advance group's pace with a mostly stock car though. not even full race pads like PFC01 or Cobalt Friction will last very long with the stock brake calipers and rotors.

- M3 suspension bits and some good shocks and springs are a must for this car if you care about handling

what M3 suspension parts do these cars need, control arms? I run meth in the mini at the track, only way to keep those supercharger temps down

your e90 is gonna feel like a pig comparing to the mini, at least in stock form.

the front m3 control arms helps a ton with the steering feel. looks like you are pretty comfortable with the mini already, so you will definitely need some camber plates and some good spring/shock/coilover setup as well. stiff or solid rear subframe bushings are definitely something that you will find helpful as well.

there just too much to explain in one post here. i would recommend doing some digging at the e90post suspension and track subforums. lots of good info there.

Yeah you will have to drive it easy. I was never able to track my car hard, the n54 wont handle the temps. 1st lap , 2nd lap, limp mode...

Big oil cooler, trans cooler, maxcool, and 7.5" RACE intercooler. Ran map7 with e85 BEF on e55 mix. No issues no limps. Ran very hard for 25-30min non stop no issues. Mods in signature.
