I have seen some of the boost targets / curve for map 3, map 7, custom map 6, etc. How does the dme set timing curve for different maps ? I would think they would differ.
Example. I set a map 6 curve to mimic a map 3 75 add. But pushing a bit higher psi target up to 5k. Map 3 definitely pulls harder on lower end. Why ? Is this a timing variable between the maps ?

JB4 does not control timing unless a backend flash is run with it. Maps won't change timing unless you're running high boost on low octane then you will get timing drops.

Thats what i thought at first, but on map 6 my car sounds deeper and has less torque to 3.5k rpm vs map 3. I know this because 1st 2nd n 3rd gear I have traction issues in map 3. So what causes the torque difference since both maps are almost identical as far as target ?

Boost vs. timing depends on a lot of factors including intake temps, long and short term octane & knock adaptions, etc. But if you want to specify your exact timing curve the most direct way to do that is using TunerPro to modify the back end flash map.
