I replaced all six of mine with this part number from Mouser electronics, 844-IRF644SPBF. The car has been running like a champ 9k miles for 6 months now. I bookmarked the link for future! http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...AjDnaNgA%3D%3D

I used them for my MSD80. I am not 100% sure if they will work for MSD81.

If you need this done, send me a PM. I'd verify the mosfets are toast first though.

499 ?!?!?! What a rip. Replacing all mosfets takes about 10 minutes.

I have a few of them kicking around for when mine eventually pop. I am one of those guys who likes to have spare parts kicking around.

I'd be surprised if it took an injector with it.. 99.9% of the time it's typically the coil that fries..

fingers crossed , you think autozone coils will do the trick? i mean there 40 bucks and lifetime warranty.

Ehh, yeah I've used them in the past and didn't have any issues, but I opted for the N55 Delphi coils and haven't looked back.. I also got 6 brand new on eBay for $120..

Coil always goes. just get one in there. I'll say I don't like the new Eldor from BMW. Has a metal sleeve on it, and it gets extremely hot compared to all my other coils.
