Menu 13, 14, 15. I understand the boost cap. My question is, does bef need to be enabled ? Also, if boost is limited to say 10 psi in 1st, this wont throw an underboost code for say a target of 15psi being capped off early ? Why ?

You don't need a BEF to use "boost by gear". No the car won't throw an underboost code with this feature. It doesn't matter if you are using a high boost map because the JB4 will only run whatever boost value you enter for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear then once you hit 4th gear boost will raise back to the map target.

Thanks for the response. I just got back from trying this BUT, it still boosted over the set limit. I set it to 10 psi, and boosted well over that. Then i let off the gas. Tried it again, same thing....

This was in 1st gear only. Didnt bother trying 2nd since 1st didnt work.

Connect your USB to the JB4 interface and try that way. Maybe you aren't saving the boost value when you use the steering wheel controls.
