Custom Single turbo manifold -
02-09-2018, 01:20 PM
Daily'd my 335i for a while, wanted more out of the engine but on a budget. Going for a twin scroll single turbo (6870) don't want to spend too much on a whole single turbo kit. Wondering if anyone has made a manifold from the stock ones? And how much power could they handle? Cobb tuned, I will upgrade from stage 2 if necessary. Considering I'm 17 a full time student and I work 7 hours a day I could only do this on saturdays.

I did the same on my first single turbo setup. Cost me only a few bucks since I did the welding. I'd definitely go sch10 weld els with the construction. Modified a cheap 1jz ebay d0wnp1pe. Made over 600whp on pump /meth with a small gtx3582 gen 1. Just us different wastegate placement for TS.

Anyone ordered from Palm Turbo?

Hello Mike,
I fully understand your concerns. And I think there's no point in overpaying. I chose a less powerful kit but at a lower price for my 1998 BMW 335i (I ordered one at DOCRace) and I don't regret it. I can send you some of the pics how I managed all that (I have them somewhere on my PC).
Never heard of Palm Turbo.
