Upload error everytime. Help please!!! -

I’m updating my 440i with what I thought was the correct B58 hex 13 file. However it won’t move past 10 files and tells me it’s an upload error. Now I can’t do anything for maps. Help please!!

Hello from Germany,
My M140i MY2018 suddenly changes the map after a short drive, from map 2 to map 8,
map1 and 3 works fine.
How can that be?
Latest Firmware is installed, car is stock, fuel is 100 RON.

I had the same issue - do it when the car is cold. if your bluetooth make sure nothing else is connected.. try to get as close as possible to the car.
I had to do it like 10 times!!! before it took!!
Then make sure your FUD is properly set or you will be running on backend flash settings - which dont work well on a non-flashed car. |

Is it also possible you’re triggering safety mode? I think 8 was safety mode map, but I may have forgotten.

Installing in Supra tomorrow. Just confirming the map guide at the beginning of this thread is not accurate and I should use the map guide listed on the BEF thread? Even if I don’t have a BEF?

The BEF guide is for BEF settings, so use the normal guide if not running a BEF.

Should work well with the b48 or whatever is in the 320i, but the jb4 does not work well for the m340i which has a completely different version of the b58 engine then older 340s |

I have old jb4 b58...I will install on new 2020 m340xi today
My question.. I just need to flash with last firmware? And go? Or anything to do?
And on this jb4 I have 3 connectord on this jb4...seem only 2 on new one?

It takes a few tries if you have wifi on, or if the phone isn't too close to the JB4 system.

I'm getting too much wheel spin at launch. I'd like to adjust "max boost" to see if I can improve my launch. How does that work now? I was using peak boost target numbers (absolutes like 14 or 17), but that's too much of a change. I believe Terry changed it's functionality. Please advise... Thank you.
