I am new to this forum and just wanted to share another waste gate rattle fix I found but couldn't really verify if it works by googling it. Its a fix used on VW/Audi for their 2.0 Turbo rattle problem. I had a really annoying rattling and found it was just the actuator rod having play with the waste gate actuator arm. If you have excessive play in your waste gate actuator arm itself from the turbo this fix probably will not help you and instead look into buying new turbos or using the JB4 method of fixing it temporarily. I have attached a picture of what it looks installed on the rear turbo waste gate arm, it only took me about 15 minutes of playing with it till I got it right. Please make sure you install it in the same direction as pictured in the top image link, or else it could get in the way of your waste gate arm opening/closing properly which could lead to even more problems. I have not done the front turbo yet but I will be very soon and and will update this thread once I do. I have also linked a video on how to install the clip probably and an actual picture of the clip itself. Also here is the link to the clip I purchased, they feel like they are very good quality. It only cost me each ~8$

Glad you took initiative, however our actuator rod is adjustable and held in by a C Clamp where I believe the VW/Audi is not - hence why they needed this clip and we really don't.

Most of the wastegate rattle instances are from the actual wastegate itself where this clip does not do anything. I came in hoping you were able to find a way to get that clip between the wastegate arm and turbo pushing it slightly out.
