I noticed the E85 back end flash for JB4 is running 12.8 AFR up top. Is this really safe for running E40 or would you recommend running the pump flash?
I know it says E40 and up run the E85 map.. but coming from boosted PI cars, 12.8 scares me

i hear you man, i had boosted honda and under full boost it ran low 11s, 12.8 is high in my book, all motor cars usually hit low 13s, my car hits on pump high to low 11s to low 12 on pump.

Our flash only e40 map targets 12.4 @ 5000, 12.2 @ 6000 and 12 at 7000. You can adjust the BMS map.

Awesome - I'll adjust accordingly. Those AFRs sound much more within spec. Thank you MHD!

Is there any chance to get new Fuel (Start) tables modified to E85 BEF to tackle cold start issues?
Or has anyone good instructions and settings to modify those tables? It's getting quite cold here in Finland

Start by changing duty bias setting all to 50
Enable 6cyl timing to read timing on all cylinders.
Youre not reaching target because your duty bias settings are too low.

Please help!
I attempted to do a MHD jb4 BEF for ST IJEOS pump gas. I backed up the sock map. Then I attempted flashing with the tablet in airplane mode, 12V6amp charger from HF,jb4 in map 0, me outside of the car, doors closed. I tried 3 times and never got past 3% (failure to write ECU. Falied to write packet section 113) (failure to write ECU. Falied to write packet section 536) I don't remember what the 3rd one said. I went to double check that jb4 was in map 0 but now the steering wheel menu for jb4 doesn't work nor will it connect to Bluetooth. On the final attempt I did it with the fuel pump fuse pulled however I didn't give the battery anytime to build back up if it even dropped amperage at all in the first place.
Any ideas?

All you have to do is remove the small gray subconnector from the JB4. Plug the stock ecu back in and it will then do a full write. Nothing to stress over.

Stupid question. I'm getting ready go ST in a few weeks. I'm currently running MHD and will be running JB4 Bef for my setup. Can I hook up my JB4 and run it on map 0 with the MHD till I finally start my built?

Just run a JB4 bef catered to your current set up.

I'm about to try the MHD race flash for the first time but noticed in tuner pro that the timing on the BMS MHD race flash is 2 to 3 degrees less than BMS BB Flash up top. Any reason for that?
Just wondering if I copy my modified timing tables from the BMS BB flash over to MHD which are 3 to 4 degrees more up top.
Thanks

So i'm totally confused on this whole tune thing. I just bought a JB4 and I'm about to install it tomorrow. What is an MHD back end flash? How does it work? Do I just flash MHD like normal, then use the JB4 at the same time?

Search MHD JB4 flash discussion. Then download the files and flash the appropriate JB4 MHD bin file using the OBD2 port.
Just be sure to set the JB4 to Map 0 before uploading the back end flash. The initial write will take around 18 minutes so be sure to have your car connected to another running car with battery cables so the voltage doesn't drop.
It's a very easy procedure so no need to stress.

Hey guys, they posted the XDF files for the cold start tables. If anyone on E85 has a hard time with cold starts email me the BEF file you're running and I'll patch over a cold start table mod to evaluate.

No. You need e85 or race gas to raise that octane up to 100.

Don't rely on meth for octane.
