Btw it says my Prod. date is 2007-05-09, so does that mean it was produced in May or September?

Assuming N54s work the same way as N55s, If you have coding cables and software INPA can do it for you - you can either read the ROM or the zsub. If you read the zsub you'll then need to reference back via the datens This was for a N55 but process should be similar.

I'm sure others will chime in as I'm sure with a N54 they'll be other options too.

Go to RealOEM.com and put in the last 7 of your VIN. Navigate to Engine electrical system and then Control units. Voila! And production date would be May.

I am looking for a flashable N55 UK car. Don't have any sample VIN numbers to check yet, but I have options of 2011 model year 135i and 335i? I have seen a 2010 335i which has TwinPower Turbo emblazoned on the engine cover with registration date of June 2010. That would be a very early N55? Sorry to post in N54 section but the poster above is in the UK and knows his onions

I prefer the look of the E92. Does RealOEM show MEVD17.x.y where it gives you x and y so we can tell if flashable or will it just show N55?

My Vin is : C947492
My Prod. Date 2011-02-15
Car is : F10 535i N55

i only want to know if the DME is locked or it need a one time unlocking
