man the guy that took the video sucked at it. The video is the ****tiest quality vid ive ever seen.
Anyways, we raced 3 times. Hes a E92 M3 Competition package, carbon fiber roof, yadda yadda.

Race 1: 40mph roll to 100ish, I got him by like 4 cars.
Race 2: 30mph roll to about 80. I got him by 3, i just stopped going after i pulled him, i tend to do that alot for some reason...
Race 3: 20mph roll to about 100mph. I just destroyed it. like 4+ cars at least.

The guy is a really kool dude. He went into the race expecting to lose bc he knows how fast the x35s are with tunes. He came to the apartment and has chilled with us for like 2 hours haha. I was peeking about 15psi.

I don't know your mods but a stock m3 is in the same league As a jb4 335i until 100+. That's where the m3 takes over. I have an e92 m3 with tune, *** delete and intake with transmission software. I raced my friends 335i with jb4 dp's and Dci. From 30-110 I won by around 2-3cl. It seems the first 3 gears on the 335i are very important. From 30-75 I was in first and the 335i pulls ever so slightly until it shifts into third and the m3 just takes over.

I'm in nyc and I owned a jb4 335i for 3 years. There's no way a tune only will keep up with my m3 with my mods. I'm running a 12.6 at E town before I was tuned.

I come out if the meets aren't the same day that I'm working but I'm down to come to any meets in the future. I'm 99% sure ill beat any 335i that's not on race gas, e85, or meth. I love x35i's I was just asking the mods of the op

I got you... and I am very interested in seeing this bc most m3s out on Long Island are either weighed down with sand all 6 speed manuals or have incompetent drivers... LOL

He is a 50/50 e85 blend, tune, and down *****. So a few more mods than i thought but his car is fast bc of who he has helping him set it up

I dont think the said M3 doubts a FBO n54 will beat him... I have never been able to find a m3 owner who drives right and has the right NA mods to see if a N54 tune only would really get walked by the m3... thats what I was going for here...

I dont want to make him feel like im setting him up to race 5 different n54s lol

Lol thank you for defunding my case. The m3 is no way a drag racing car and without forced induction the m3 will never beat a 335i FBI with e85. I'm DCT so I won't be missing gears.

I had little problem with the M3s I ran (which were presumably stock) when I had just the JB4 and DCI on my steptronic E90. You're talking about a 10-20 rwhp and 50+ rwtq advantage for the N54.

Chuck, I just have to find out where my damn boost leak is coming from. Going to the shop on Thursday so hopefully that's the problem. If not then i'm driving this thing into the Sound.

Not quite. You're comparing peak to peak numbers. The M3 is entirely in its powerband while racing, where as the 335i from 5000-7000 RPM is not making the same peak torque printed on a dyno.

TQ matters in roll racing too. time and time again reality shows this, i dont see why people think high rpm is the almighty

I totally agree. I ran 3 different E60 M5's (2 6speed and 1 DCT) and beat all three. All the rpm in the world couldn't help them pull me back and these were all roll races from 25-30 mph in the 1/2 mile. And all I had was just the JB4 and dci with everything else stock.

Over the summer I seen an E90 335i 6at beat an F10 M5 in queens. What made matters worse was that the M5 driver said he didn't need launch control to beat a little 335, and then he got annihilated at the start line Funniest **** I've seen in a long time .

No...it really doesn't. Watch single-turbo Supras race on the freeway and see how much low-end torque they make, or any car with a small displacement engine with a gigantic turbo for that matter. I have a modded C6Z...I know a thing or two about torque.

Quick example...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zkYMy4c5ZY

How much torque an engine makes in an RPM range you're never in while racing means nothing. If you're ever under 5000 RPM racing from a roll, you're doing something wrong.

Now start a roll race with the stipulation that both drivers are too lazy to downshift and start in 3rd gear at 60 MPH...then torque wins.

I still am in stock mode (135i) since i bought it like 5 days ago, i raced a tuned 335i at 20mph he got me like max 2 cars, i know there is something weired behind this story but thats what happened ill post the vid when i get home from uni. is it possible i weighted my car its 1490kg and 4 brand new wheels? do u think my car remaped or 135i is faster than 335i? im all confused and happy at the same time but i dont feel the torque while driving it. a333 confuseedddddd:s
