That looks pretty awesome. I've wondered when something like this would surface.

Whats the deal with the ECU/Idrive system when doing something like this?

What'd this set you back? Obviously you could resell the Auto trans and make back some of the money, but I bet this wasn't cheap!

Well if I sell my old part I will make double then what I paid for it wasn't too bad but 3 series are much cheaper the 5 series and as far as the ecu u still keep the same ecu it just the change the dme to 204 for a manual tranny and that reprograms ur hole car its just like any other swap just alil more programming but trust me when I tell you its worth every penny it's a big different in the car when it manual and more fun

I would also like to know more info on the cost of this. Running RB's w/E85 and Meth. Car seems to like it but figure understanding alternatives if it were to fail is a good thing!

Any more info on this? I'm really considering converting my 135i, I'm just worried about the programming.

Automatic is faster on these cars, because modern automatics are not crude heavy and weak as before. Technology improved. Components are lighter, stronger. Shifts are quicker, and program allows the power to be used in the best possible way.

I have an 6MT E92 335i in the SF bay area that I'm looking to trade for a 6AT 135 or 335.

I'm trying to move to 6AT! PM me
