Ya but I'm talking about compatibility. Maps are useless if the tool can't be installed.

I understand that MHD makes a flash for the N55. But they don't have one available yet for certain 2012+ N55 vehicles. The earlier N55's are using it though. I'm not sure what the confusion is. There is nothing I can install on my car at this time.

You need to wait for MHD or someone else to crack the MEVD1726 DME. The current DIY flash options (MHD & COBB) only apply to vehicles with the MEVD172 DME.

As you're a 2013 build, you're pretty much out of options at the moment as a 2013 build having a MEVD1726 is pretty much a cert.

There have been reports of MEVD1726 'bench' flashes but nothing really seems to have developed.

If anyone wishes to check which DME they have, pop the last 7 of you VIN into RealOEM (where it ask for serial), click search then browse parts. Then navigate to Engine Electical System. In the Control Units, whichever one shows as having parts available is the one you have.

People with late 2011s and early 2012s should check as the switch over was not as simple as 01/2012. Some late 2011s have the 1726 and some early 2012s have the 172.

Terry,

Run 2011 335XI, BMS intake, VRSF ** + HD intercooler, N55 JB4

Want to purchase K+DCAN with USB to upload the BEF flash maps through the ODM and computer.

Dont have android for MHD Flasher app.

I can load the 2/27 BEF maps into DME, in this way? Any suggestions on best K+DCAN with cables and software to most effectively load BEF maps into DME?

Terry, did you ever explore this further?

http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...3&postcount=64

For me, and a few others, it seems that a reduction in load resulting in an increased HPFP value helps or fully resolves the N55 misfires however, it's a bit of a balancing act given the impact of reduced load.

http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...0&postcount=62

http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=618
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=623

For those running additional fuelling (PI/TBI) I'm wondering if it would be possible to run say the 190 load, reduce HPFP demand (via the table you referenced or one of the others), possibly allowing the HPFP values to increase from what seems to be ~11 on a BEF to nearer the 14 value seen without a BEF and compensate by upping the fuel delivered via PI/TBI?

Early days on this, as the cars been 'garaged' for the winter and won't be back on the road until April so it's all theory ATM.

I would like to know this as well. I am MT and have been running stock + 10 load ceiling values for a month with amazing success. I can run up to 28psi no issues, Timing corrections at a minimum. I literally love my car now.

Getting a $40 Tablet like Digiland 7 at best buy is probably the easiest way. Otherwise there is a DIY here

Default MHd update v0.90 - 03-24-2017, 03:29 AM

The 0.90 build has been available for some days:
- all maps updated to 0.90
- added Oil pressure channel log

The flash only maps got a big revision, with among others, more power for the lower maps, and smoother throttle

Just so I understand this correctly,

I'm currently running JB4 map 5 on my 2011 135i with bolt ons.

Am I able to run the MHD BEF for pump gas and still use the JB4 Map 5? Or do I need to use one of the non autotuning maps like 1 or 2. Thanks guys!

Once the BEF is loaded and 4/2 in dash selected you use the same JB4 map guide. The maps just become stronger with higher boost targets due to fueling and timing changes made possible by the BEF.

so i was looking one time on how i could further make my 2011 e92 335s exhaust backfire. i came across a thread on a jb4 addon tune that could help achieve this? i can't find the thread anymore as i have been searching for it all day. i contacted terry and he said it's probably a BEF with an over run option? does this mean i just download the latest map up there through the software update on the jb4 mobile app or how does it work? sorry i'm new to this

You can not flash your car with a BEF using the JB4. You will need to purchase MHD flasher in the app store. The BEF that BMS provides is free so other than the cables and potentially an android device the only other cost is the app. Exhaust burble is an option when flashing the car.

My advise would be to look up some videos to see if it will provide the sound you're looking for and to read through this thread.
