Default X3 M40i Log Review - 10-26-2018, 06:51 PM

Hi I'm running Map 2 and wanted feedback on my logs. Only mod is the JB4 and BMS Intake with 92 pump gas. It's hard to get a good all the way to Redline from 3rd gear so I got as close as I could when possible.

I am getting the bogs between shifts but Map 1 is pretty smooth with that issue. Wanting to look at mixing in E85 and running Map 3/5 when I can dial in what the issues are.

Thank you!

Logs look OK, just don't go WOT in a higher gear under 2,500 RPM unless you want your engine to hate you. Off the line in first gear is fine, but it's like trying to open or close a door next to the hinge side when doing it in higher gears. It's really hard on whatever is pushing (i.e. your engine).

Try mixing in 2 gallons of E85 and you should be fine with the higher maps. And I always recommend EWG and FF wires for all customers.

Really appreciate the response and feedback. Iíve read tons on how to read my own logs and just to be sure are you focusing on IGN1 so the values donít fluctuate more than 3 at a time. Also Iíve been checking target boost and if that falls below the expected for the map is a potential sign of issues.

For the FF wires make sense Iíll grab a set since it doesnít hurt anyway. For the EWG would that help my bogging between shifts. It feels horrible like Iím boosting during shifts and my tires chirp.

Thanks for the tip on WOT below 2500. The problem with E85 is no one sells other here in Hawaii at a station. A parts store sells 5G tanks of it at $20 a gallon. There is a dude on Craigslist that sells E98 at $8 a gallon but Iím leery about that.
