JB4 Connect Kit REV3: "Kit not owned" error -

Has anyone seen this error? This is a second hand kit I bought from another member.
Also emailed Connect Kit support.
2014 335i xDrive, F30, auto, JB4 ewg+ff+race BEF, BMS air intake, VRSF CP+KitlessDP+FMIC, Remus Axle-Back.
SOLD - 2011 335i xDrive 6MT e90, PPK, JB4 ISO (5_11)+ ff wires, VRSF cp, BMS intake, BMS modified clutch valve, ST S1 coilovers

This has been resolved by the JB4 Connect support. Seems like the device was still associated with the original owner's JB4 Mobile account.

Was there something in the settings you had to change to get this to work? Having the same issue with a used JB4 connect kit just waiting on a reply from support@jb4connectkit.com

Same issue here just emailed them. Is there a problem if the device stays connected driving? Would hate to take off while I'm waiting.

What do you mean stays connected while driving? You exit the app off your phone and it's not connected anymore.

Sorry I meant if the jb4 stayed connected. I got the issue solved they released the previous account and everything ran perfect.

Just got a preowned Mobile connect kit, and same issue. Just emailed and was wondering how long it typically takes for the support@jb4connectkit.com to fix the issue.

same thing just happened to me. I picked up a rev 3 bluetooth hooked it up got the same alert now i have to wait. at this point i shpuld have just bought a new one it would have been here already

Having the same issue with a new kit purchased direct from BMS. Support is contacted, just wanted to drop a line for those thinking this might be limited to used kits.

I hate to bump this thread but I am having the same issue. Emailed both jb4 connect emails and it’s been 2 weeks without a response at all  . I imagine the company has little motivation to support second hand owners of their products, but it would be nice to have something. Does anyone have any tips on how I can get my jb4 ownership working? Previous owner isn’t too helpful either - had a shop do the original install and not an English speaker. Thanks all.
