Is it possible to turn off this safety system?

Yes but we keep that under wraps because it's not suggested.

Terry,
How can we test that boost safety on the new firmware is operational?

I tried setting it to 16, 15, 14 psi and never got it to switch to Map 8.

Log of it set to 14psi and boost exceeding 14psi so I can look at the details?

Yes. Here you go.
Driving on the mountains on the way to Reno so may be variation between the logs.

Also, if you end up rebuilding the firmware, we can try other things to get the code read to work if you have time.

Thanks.

Is there a new firmware to test; @john I see your running map6 thought you were running meth which should be map3 as the emu map?

Testing a new firmware posted a few pages back. I requested it because I now have a flash tune but would still like to have safety features active of the JB4.

Essentially I run Map 6, 0 psi on values, Meth Trigger = 1.
If a safety hits, it should revert to Map 8 which is like a low power valet map.

At the current status, Iím having trouble with the safety switching to Map 8 and I cannot code read.

Both version of hex6 doesnít work for me.As before invalid code read.

@John if you got meth can you not run map3 which is the wmi map from hex4?

Is your flash a standard flash or a bef?

I had to remap the ECU to get 21 psi flat, it is a pity. EA888 JB4 is much better...I could use any pressure i wanted.

Itís a standard flash. Not a BEF. As they are not available yet.
I suppose I can run Map 3 with additive at 0 also.

But the ultimate goal is when safety hits, needs to go to a safe map.
Switching to Map 4 on the standard JB4 firmware wonít do anything as the ECU is flashed. So switching to Map 8 is the current work in progress solution since itís like a forced Valet mode on the JB4.
