Default Largest rim/tire combo on a 135i - 02-25-2019, 12:59 PM

So I have the stock 18" wheels. 215/40/18(front) 245/35/18(rear) After installing ******* **, CP, 7" FMIC, GFB dv+, & JB4 I notice the traction light A LOT more. Looking to putnwider rims thus wider tires. Was considering going 8.5 w/235/40/18(front) and 9.5" w/265/35/18 Curious as to if these will even fit. Any help/thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas 🏎🏎🏁🏁

I run 245 and 265 for front/rear. I also have a complete M3 suspension components for my 135. I also have an aggressive fender role in the rear and still rub over high speed bumps. Currently running Federal 595 RS-RR tires, and Vorsteiner 18" VFF-108 , 18x8.5 ET40 front and 18 X 9.5 ET42 rears.
If you want to run even wider tires I would suggest wider front fenders from ER and fender flares with some cutting for larger tires in rear.

What size combo did you end up with? We'll be working on buddy's 135i soon right after we finished installing the new brake kit and mickey thompson tires plus led light bar wiring on the current truck project. He wants a beefier tire set up.

The fronts should be fine but the rears will rub, and it does get annoying with the tires hitting the inner fender liner.

The best options is to get a LSD for the rear-end. I only lasted about 9 months with limited driving on previous tire size. I got a puncture and tires were causing odd vibration similar to out of balance at speed. All the tires checked out for balancing but after puncture and seeing the wear on inside of rears I decided to go down 10mm after getting new tires.

I'm now running 235/40 and 255/35 and much happier.
