Is this a good idea for me if I have stock turbo's Rob? I have a 7" helix fmic and I'm already .9psi shy of hitting boost target. I wonder if these would make me miss boost target more?

Do not expect miracles with this (ie. fix other things that are amiss) as the only way the OEM unit could be causing your issues is if the OEM rubber coupler has came apart (not common but can and has happened). For the most part I'd suggest looking for other possibilities for troubleshooting problems.

The response I gave you in post #185 has not changed either… please review again. Also cost information is in my last post as well.

Thanks,
Rob

RB, please put me down for a 3" angled set, assuming this is what 7" VRSF FMIC requires. Thx.

Options (A, B, or C)-

A. 2.5" (for Straight-down/Straight-in Intercooler)- In stock

List to determine demand for other options:
B. 2.5" (for Angled Intercooler)
1. dawhiz
2. Flatspot
3.
4.
5.

C. 3" (for Angled Intercooler)
1. Nexic
2. jrmy23
3. ajsalida
4. cmiggz
5.

If we can get a list of 5+ on each, it will help accelerate the project into motion. Up front costs add up and there is a much larger minimum order quantity, meaning demand is needed to even remotely be worthwhile. We only sold around 4 of the Option A's and still have many left in stock… so not real motivated to take the same loss risk two more times.

Please see below for item cost-
Cost: $189 (plus shipping)
What you get: 1 Custom RB Silicone merger to Intercooler coupler, 3 stainless T-Bolt Clamps.

Shipping charges-
Domestic: FedEx Ground $30 (1-4 days)
(US Protectorates) USPS Priority Mail $40 OR USPS Priority Mail Express $75
International: USPS Priority Mail International $75 (6-10 days) OR USPS Priority Mail Express International $100 (3-5 days)

Thanks,
Rob

Helpful suggestion: Spend the 23 seconds it takes to go to cp-e's website and look at pics of their intercooler and read the specs. Then spend 30 seconds typing a post to Rob telling him which one you need. Less than a minute of your life.

FYI - according to this post from Tiago, the 5" VRSF stepped intercooler has 2.75" inlets http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...6&postcount=10

Hmm... We are going go need confirmation on this... Asap as I've ordered more hardware for these samples already. 2.5" is stock, but 3" seemed a bit oversized to even fit in the area to me. 2.75" would make more sense...

Thanks guys for the clarification, just in a nick of time! Only losses are the materials I've already ordered, could've been much worse though!

So, to get this straight, there is no N54 IC with a 3" hotside connection right? The largest being 2.75"?

AMS is the only FMIC to consider that has a 3" hotside inlet. Not sure if its worthwhile for you though to keep it as an option....

Have another customer with AMS who's already used our standard 2.5" Evo angled chargepipe- said it went right on. I tell you this gets more confusing by the moment.

Probably the best option here is to start listing all the IC options and then figuring out one by one tbe actual size of the hotside interface...
