Map 1 and Map 2 review -
04-03-2022, 12:54 AM
2018 q50 Luxe, only has an axle back. Running 91 octane, as I’m in AZ. They somehow combined into one data sheet (I’m new to data logging and tuning in general), but do they look alright? I have fuel and ewg wires attached, but not connected. Is it worth it for me to wire either one being stock and on 91 or should I not worry about them? Thank you in advance.

Let's see a log with them connected.

PHX area has a few E85 stations...I'd connect the EWG and fuel wires, add 3 gallons of E85 to a full tank of 91 and attach a log. AZ 91 sucks...you're leaving a lot on the table otherwise.

I’m new to the whole idea of tuning/data logging and I’ve never had a car on ethanol. I understand how to hook up both the fuel and ewg wires, but I guess still have some questions about E85/E30. I’ve been told that you need to be super precise with ethanol mixtures as the wrong amount can hurt your engine. I’ve seen most people saying somewhere around 5 or 6 gallons of E85 in our tanks is the equivalent of E30. Do I need to measure ethanol content at an E85 station near me? What margins can actually cause damage and how precise do I really need to be? I’m also wondering if I start running E30, do I kind of have to always run E30? Or can I do it whenever I want the power and switch JB4 maps when on E30? Any complications with that, or do you just drive until almost empty and go back to filling up on 91? Sorry, I know this is a lot of questions, I just want to make sure I do everything right so as not to damage my car. Thank you

Just get our flex fuel kit, then you'll know and it won't be some complicated nor will you have to worry.
