ISO 25 hex really makes the shifts really smooth either on high rpm under load or just when driving around. I have the Alpina Trans flash.

Commentary on ISO26 that I just sent to Terry (embellished a bit too):

Holy s*#t! The rattle is completely gone. I mean GONE. Exhaust sounds quieter too, to the point that I was able to turn on the CAN flap defeat again. The car sounds as quiet as she did with the stock ***.

When I first got my *** on my 335is (stock exhaust) I felt the sound on accel was unrefined and while not raspy definitely too metallic. And on decel she sounded like a woodpecker trapped in a jake brake. No bueno.

Now she sounds basically stock. Crazy.

You go, Terry.

Make it 3. Gotta wait for the "IS" flash so it would be fun to play with the firmware in the meantime

OK I sent a few copies out. We'll see if its well received. Want to avoid another ISO 24 fiasco so I don't want to over distribute until we get some more initial good feedback.

Can't wait to try it myself, would really like to reduce the noise a bit. However, is ISO26 as goods as IOS25 for performance? 25 has been outstanding for me.

I love it when I get so busy with life and work and don't check for updated firmware. ...then check in and see all this amazing chatted about ISO 25.

I wasn't sure what was up but my car felt off...just something not right. Was worrying my turbos were going, trabfer case blah blah blah. Paranoia.

Just loaded 25 and took a short drive and wow....so much more smooth. Love bee firmware and love my JB4! Thanks, Terry!

So I got to try ISO 26 today. Drives great not different from 25. What I do notice is that when I rev the car to about 3500 rpm it rattles on gas release. Only when I set the dash 12 to 35 I get it quiet. I then still got some rattle on part throttle. I will go and try ISO 25 again tomorrow and compare.

Just finished my first trackday in my 'is. ISO26 was faultless! I do need to build a race map though. Map 5 was wayyy too agressive. Switched to map 1 and it helped a lot with control. But I want to build a linear map like so many track junkies have suggested.

What's a good rule of thumb for the linear boost maps? Start at 4 psi/1500 rpm and go up to 17 by 5000 tapering down to 14 at redline? Just a guess...

Default Nice update - 08-25-2013, 06:25 AM

I can say that ive updated every firmware since hex 13 and idk y but i have never really felt a difference with the update.. I can say that hex.25 is amazing. Honestly i feel that the change with the update is just a big like how i went from g4 to g5 iso. Thanks terry. You did a number on this one.

That's interesting because some of these hex's have acted very differently in response, throttle input, boost control and overall smoothness, very noticeable IMHO.
