Well my luck finally struck. After getting the car all tuned up, I am now experiencing clutch slipping in 4 & 5th gear WOT starting around 5k rpms. This is incredibly frustrating given that I was a click away from ordering an FMIC and now I have this to deal with likely to cost over double an FMIC.

Maybe it’s my frustration causing me to not think clearly, but is there any possible way this is tune related? The car doesn’t stall from a 3rd gear start, Rpms drop immediately when engaging the clutch, and rise when I upshift and let the pedal out immediately. Never smelled burning and fluid looks good.

Well with more power / torque - the possibility of a slipping clutch is always going to be there.

The 335is clutch is generally “good” up to around 500 ft/lbs to my knowledge.

To me it doesn’t sound tune related, outside of the larger power.

Should I dial back to map5 to avoid further damage to the clutch or flywheel (since I’ll be using the stock DMFW)?

Have a log? Let's check the calculated torque to ensure it's as high as it should be. That is used by the trans to determine it's clamping force.

I’ll post one after work. I haven’t made any changes to the tuning since my last log a week ago so I’ll post that as well as a new one if needed.

Clutch, if slipping, would be slipping at WOT in low gears, not just in talk gears.

lower gears would spin tires ,same thing happened to me. get a better clutch and remove the clutch delay valve if you havent yet. For the time being i would pull significant power out of it. it only gets worse once the slip begins.
