Hi guys, I just have the jb4 installed on my is300 fsport and did some logs on different maps, if I could have them looked at and custom tuned that would be much appreciated.
only other mod is K&N panel filter and running RON98 fuel.

Runs look fine to me, you can stick wit map5 if its running well on your end.

Thanks Terry, I'm currently running on map 2 and will try map 5 now, if map 5 run well I'll stick on it, otherwise should I switch to map 2 or 1?
How many psi over stock is each above map requesting?

You can look at "target" in the log to see. Map5 is requesting 6psi over stock there but you're getting less than that due to the small factory turbo.

Hi Terry I have 2 other Lexus friends who are interesting in JB4, is the one I'm using universal to all Lexus models? They may try mine before made their decisions.
I have been using map 5 and so far so good. by comparing boosts in Map2 and Map5, they are both pulling around 13psi peak, since Map 5 isn't really pulling 6psi over stock due to factory turbo limitation. Is there any other differences between Map2 and Map 5?
Do I need to turn the engine off each time before switching between Maps? And what happen if the car was running without the OBD connector plug in?

The application list is on our website, so you can see what the other models your JB4 is compatible with.
Stick with map 2 IMO.
No need to turn engine off, you can change maps on the fly while driving.
Without the OBD, car will revert to stage 1.

Don't know, check the website which has photo of the two board types to see which JB4 mobile adapter you specifically need. But most likely it's the pinned power wire.

Good Evening all. I just received my JB4 for my NX200t and installed it. Seems like a nice power bump, however is it normal for the in dash boost gauge to not show how much boost is actually there? Before the JB4 It was running on Sport mode up to 1.5 Bar, now it barely reaches 1 bar. I have not tried any other Maps yet. I have the AEM Cold Air intake, The HPS Hot Pipe and in a week or two adding the Apexi N1 Evolution Full *** Back Exhaust. Any suggestions before I start tuning? 93 Pump gas. It seems map 2 or 5 are the way to go?

Yes, the ECU will think it's making less boost than normal so that is expected. If you have a JB4 log we can confirm the tuning is working as it should be.

I have a Lexus NX300 with a new JB4 with Bluetooth and the latest Firmware on the Mobile app.
I looks like I have 8 maps to choose from, my question is what is the difference between each map?... the info here seems to be older in some cases as my maps don’t seem to line up perfectly with some of the boost / target figures I’m seeing.
My “target’s” are showing up as:
Map 0 – Stock?
Map 1 – Target 3 (3 PSI?)
Map 2 – Target 4 (4 PSI?)
Map 3 – Target 5 (5 PSI?)
Map 4 – Target 5….?
Map 5 – Target 5….?
Map 6 – Target 2 (Custom by RPM?)
Map 7 – Target 6 (6 PSI?)
Map 8 – Target 3….?
Can anyone tell me what the current Maps are?

Also, what does the "Boost Safety" setting do?.... I'm using Map 2 with a Target of 4 and Boost Safety of 4 and my target still jumps up to 5 so I'm lost.

It's the min boost before the JB4 will disable, but I don't think it's enabled in the Lexus firmware yet, since over boosting has not been an issue at all with that tiny turbo.

hello to all, I'm Mike aka Grover1904. I have 2019 Lexus RC300 I purchased the JB4. this is my first time posting. I have spent plenty of time reading and going over all the stuff posted. lots of great info and smart people posting it. thanks for sharing your insights.i have many many questions. too many to list here in my first post.
so I will just start with 1. on th JB4 connection harness, there is the wire that goes to OBD2 port. the plug that connects it has 2 wires going in to it. and on the other side the connector plug has the points of connection coming out going to the OBD2 port.
is that normal, or is something missing on the harness side? the reason Im asking , as you see in the photos I attached . my plug suffered some damage. (long story). and im trying to find a suitable replacement. and the 2 wire in, 3 wire out thing kind of threw me. mainly because a replacement connector is a lot easier to find for 2 wire in and out. so if the third contact on the male end is not going to any thing that could save me some time and effort. and advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
that's all for now, once I get this worked out I will be in need of some technical guidance. im new to the tuning world and don't want to make any mistakes

did you ever figurer out the cause of your limp mode issue? I have been having pretty much the same problem for most of the time I have had the jb4. they sent a new control board. I swapped it. seemed like it was gonna be good, and out of nowhere happened again. I have no idea what could be the cause. ive ran it with OBD2 plugged in ,unplugged. it will go good for a while just long enough that I think it may be solved. then bam. I have noticed that many times right before it happens the blue tooth will disconnect then reconnect, back and forth or just disconnect. and I have noticed it seems to happen more when I accelerate hard.

The problem is the wire(s) running into the connector. Make sure they are pushed into the moldex plug.
Likely just an oversight with how many are made.

Hello there Terry, I just received my JB4 for my 2021 RC300 RWD and I received an email saying use map 2 with all my upgrades and was reading through the thread and I see other members using map 5, what's the difference and would I be able to run map 5 with better performance? Im not the smartest guy when it comes to logging, reading let alone uploading to share my findings. sorry about that. How will I know if map 2 or map 5 will be better? I currently have an AEM intake, PPE catted ********* as well as an apex full *** back exhaust. Please help, thanks in advance! Im in LA as well! Thanks for offering a supreme product!

Does the trans temp gauge on the jb4 app work in the nx200t? I was hoping I could get this information since I tow a camper, it is just blank in the app for me. If there is any way to get that working I would be willing to do any testing necessary. I can get trans temp in techstream but that requires a laptop etc, would be awesome to get it pulled into the jb4.

Trans temp is not currently enabled, sorry. To add it I'd need to know the PID / logging channel.

My car has been in the shop for over 6 months 2016 is Lexus 200t. So naturally JB4 has not been in use. Finally got it back an noticed that I have only 3 maps available. 1, 2, and 6. I used to have more options but Am I missing something? Tries any and all updates for Lexus but still the same. I used to use 5 with no issues. What should I do? Thanks

Use map2. The higher maps were just set to map2 previously.
