Default Black flex fuel wires on JB4 mini F56 B48 - 10-25-2018, 07:22 AM

Hello Guys,

I bought the flex fuel wires like a year ago and now Im trying to install them on my JB4. I read the B48 FF connector must be 2 wires - green and black (green wire goes in #21, black wire goes in #4 into DB25) but the one I have has 2 black wires - one stripped and the other with a gold pin.

Do you know if I can use this FF connector on my JB4 maybe welding a gold pin in the stripped wire?

Attached some pictures of my setup.

You'll need a DSUB pin for the unstripped wire. The male connector goes to #21, sensor side female contact attaches to #4.

Terry, thanks for your response.

Do I need to update some setting on the JB4 from the desktop app after installing the FF wires?

With the FF wires and ethanol (15% ethanol / 85% 93 oct gas) I can run map 2 safely, right?

Open loop = 50, should be OK on map2 but log it. Worst case, may need more E85.
