Default Lean AFR both banks even on safety map - 09-12-2019, 06:21 PM

Hi guys, new to forum.

Picked up a FBO 93 + meth 09 335i running an MHD backend flash with JB4. Car ran great for a week and now it has increasingly become more lean in boost (both banks). It now will not even stay on map 3 for a full pull. It just kicks right to the safety map.

not an issue with the meth system as it's still running lean at 8 psi on the safety map.

No knock or lean codes, runs and feels great, no misfires or anything.

I have occasionally gotten these two codes. sometimes they'll pop up, other times they won't.

2C32 Lambda probe in front of catalytic converter 2, trimming control and a 2C7B lambda probe behind catalytic converter 2, signal

I'm assuming that it's probably just o2 sensors on their way out and the JB4 kicks it into low boost because AFR looks lean, but I am new to a DI car and wanted to make sure my lpfp (walbro 450) and hpfp numbers were okay as well.

Attached is a log of WOT on map 4. Don't dare go back into map 3 with weird AFR issues. Thanks for any input.

Tom

Bump. Any ideas? Increased FOL by 10 and afr is mid 12s now on map 3. Cruising AFR is still pretty all over the place.

Your throwing safety 4 = meth flow low

Even with AFR all over the place while cruising, and a lean afr on the safety map?.... flow gauge looks good. I’m spraying meth.

Try an 02 reset first monitor the AFR on both banks after for next day or so.

It was definitely an issue with the rear o2s. Any idea why the jb4 app shows the code 2c7b as bank 2 when it’s actually the bank 1 rear sensor?

It shouldn’t be doing that- did you fix the sensor, all good now?

Looks to be that way. Ended up replacing both. Just have ******* ** codes now. Weird that I had a bank 2 trimming hex code but a bank 1 signal code that said it was bank 2...

[U][U]Here’s an updated log and a screenshot of stored codes I was dealing with. No more o2 codes for the last 2 days besides 29F4/29F5.

No more variation in AFR between banks. How does this one look? Map 3 2k-7k wot in 3rd gear.

From what I can see this looks clean

You’ll want to enable 6 cyl timing for future logs
