You don't think this might have happened already or is in talks as to why he's defending NIZPRO so much.....lmao. He does have a valid point though the programming needs to be addressed also which PD is doing. If folks have seen a good improvement with whatever bushings some have been replacing then there should be a good improvement with all the internal frictions being upgraded also. Regardless of whoever comes out with what in my opinion the AT - MT swap is the most cost effective and will handle whatever.

I spoke about the DCT swap long ago even before Oleg(ncat) actually did it and documented it. With the 6AT upgrades on the way, I think it would be foolish to do any kind of swap unless you needed your car ready within the next 6 months for some kind of event or otherwise.

Agree, it wasn't cheap the swap from AT to DCT.

Propulsion Dynamics has already built, tuned, tested (tranny dyno), and shipped a handful of "beta" built 6HP21 units, a couple of which will be tested on single turbo setups.

Nizpro might be a little behind now.

Exciting times ahead. Has the PD betas run any times yet?

Nizpro has a few betas out as well. Did a dozen passes all around 134mph trap, 11.2 ET. Non TCU calibration yet

As far as I know PD has a unit in their shop car and a couple beta units are getting installed within the next couple of weeks. No times yet. They post updates on bimmer boost.

Sorry for resurrecting old thread but its the best i could find!!

Hi all

I am new here and am after information on strenthenjng the 6HP19/21.

Has anyone worked out how to use the larger inout shaft and other front parts drom the 6R80 like they do with the 6HP26s in the 19/21? Also are the cryod oem or aftermarket billet our only options for the other shafts or is there a chance to use the larger oem/billet lole the above mentioned modification?

Regarding torque holding what is the most we can do in terms of best and max no of frictions/steels etc?

I hope its okay that I am asking for an Audi and not a BMW! application is a A6 4.2 V8 Twin turbo and i am aiming to make 1000whp to hopefuelly run 9s

Thanks

If you are looking to strengthen a 6HP19/21, I would look into propulsive dynamics. As far as I know, they are really your only choice short of choosing a different transmission option.
