Get a good amount of shielding/wrap.

I wouldnt wrap if you are ceramic coating. Just make sure the O2 bungs are not coated at all on the inside or outside.

Mine is wrapped and yea it reduces heat but it still gets really really hot. I should have gotten mine coated.
Don't wrap. Coat it

Damn. My **** would melt everything under the hood with the temps I experience in traffic if it wasn't wrapped.

Don't get an STD ( single turbo disaster) and wrap that thing up. Melted wires, melted valve cover or messed up paint from extra heat closer to the hood is not worth it, so just bite the bullet and do it !

Will it melt wires if it is coated only?

I dont have my manifold wrapped or coated. Down pipe is wrapped and turbo has a blanket. Also I have 2 layers of shielding under my engine cover with one on top. Heat isnt bad at all and I live in AZ. I did melt some wires without the extra shielding under the engine cover within the first week. As it sits now its fine.

Put shielding under the engine cover on top of the wires and you will be fine.

That ceramic **** in a rattle can at autozone doesn't last long at all, but if you get a real 2000 degree coating that **** doesn't come off unless someone isn't applying it correctly.
