Hello I've installed my jb4 and my mods are just intakes with denso plugs gapped to .022, I'm just looking for help with settings and making sure my logs look good. Attached below are my logs on 91. I had to compress to a zip file because the log exceeded the limit of the website.

Stick with the guidance from BMS and Stay Map1 with 91 oct. This log is horrible. Timing deviations are too high. The only way of survival is if you can find some E-85 and try an E30 mix.

Thanks which forum do i submit logs to JB4? I also have a new log from today on MAP1 if you want to tell me how to read it and exactly what's wrong with it.

Are you asking how to submit to BMS? You don't. Sometimes Terry will ask you to email him a log for special reasons, but this forum is the best place. At times they will chime in with feedback but they are extremely busy. Your log is showing very high timing deviations. It's a tell tale sign of map2 with 91 oct. Look at the numbers Ign2 through Ign6. The lower the numbers are the better. Keeping them below 3 is optimal but yours are much higher. That means engine knock and the car is retarding timing. In your case quite a bit. It tied to octane directly and 91 doesn't play nice with Map2 unless you add Ethanol, octane boost or Race gas.

Thank you AWDGT2, your explanation of what to look for on ign 2-6 has answered a question that was bothering me when I was looking at my logs(wasn’t 100% on what numbers to look for). I thought I was correct after doing research and along with your reply to my log post I was feeling better. This has put my mind at ease.

thank you, that's a help I just don't know how to read these logs, as well as living in vegas there is no 93 around me at all.

am i able to do e-85 without the flex fuel kit or do i absolutely need the flexfuel kit to run e-85 ? sorry im new to mods and tunes just trying to learn as much as possible.

You can run an E85 mix for sure without the flex fuel kit. All that kit does is tell you exactly how much E you have running through your system. I have the kit and I recommend it if you are serious about running Map2 or higher. Without the Flex kit, you have to best guess what percentage of E you have. It works great if you know what percentage the gas station has. There are winter blends that are less than 85%, in the 70's at times. Another way is a simple tester like this one
