Log Review - New Pure600 turbos -
09-26-2021, 04:50 PM
Hi, I've attached a log for review. I'm trying to get the most out of my new pure600 turbos on my 2013 335is. I'm FBO, stage 2 LPFP, 3.5bar tmap, pure600's with 2 inch inlets / outlets, forged diverters and the latest hybrid BEF on e85 (running e50-e60) . Ran map 2 for awhile but wanted more so running map 7 now (I have logs on map 2 also if that helps).
I'm going to get a custom tune soon but wanted to see how far i can take the JB4 BEF combo first. I feel like the turbos are spooling a bit slower now then they were before I did the BEF. I'm shooting for a consistent and reliable 550WHP which seems doable with my setup (I hope).
This is my second 335i and both have been tuned but this if my first time going with larger turbos. So far so good. The Pure's have been in 3 weeks now with no issues so far.
Thanks in advance for checking out my logs.

For proper review and the JB4 to adapt, please do logs in 3rd or 4th gear from 2K rpms to redline at wide open throttle.
I'd also keep an eye on cylinder 4 as it's getting a lot of timing corrections. You may want to run a little less boost until you have it dialed in and then slowly work the boost up.

No need for huge images...I can see all of that in the log.
I'd stick with that map and wouldn't add any more ethanol as your HPFP is struggling a bit.

Thanks, I'm at around E60 right now i'll lower to E40-E50 and keep an eye on it. HPFP is only 6 months old but thats a lot of corn juice. I've heard that more Ethanol doesn't mean more power always for the N54 is that true? Any advice on optimal Ethanol amount or is it just whatever your HPFP can handle? Going for a custom tune soon and want to target a reliable amount of Ethanol with that tune.

Ethanol=octane=more aggressive tuning. The age of the HPFP doesn't matter, it can only push so much volume. Ethanol requires more volume so the overall power limitation is reduced the more ethanol you add and it becomes a balancing act until you upgrade to port injection etc.
