1st gear is currently set to 42mph. Which we find works perfectly for the CVT. May need to make a setting for the manual trans cars to roll it back to 20mph.

Gotcha. And that setting is saying max "additional" boost? Or add no more than 3 psi boost until 42mph, over what the Honda programming would have added?

Not sure if we have OBDII support for the 2017 CRV yet but plug it in and see if it changes anything. Maybe email in photos of install and JB4 board front and back so we can check for any damage/issues.

I've been emailing ando back and forth about my crv. The Logs I sent him aren't pulling up anything from the canbus. But he verified that it is installed correctly.

No problem if you are already working with us via email no reason to double up the work on the forum. If Ando can't figure it out he will forward the email chain to me anyway.

Boost is lowered by that value in that speed range.

Yeah, that makes sense. After I thought about it (duh), it runs much higher than 3 psi if you gas it from a start lol. I also like the safety feature of the engine needing to warm up before it really boosts it up. Since I bought the car, I do not drive it aggressively at all until I've gotten about 5 mins down the road.

AAAAAH! That's why I thought it wasn't working, haha. I thought that number was setting the max boost it would hit for that gear/speed. D'oh!

This is for the Si; not sure if the non-Si manuals are the same.

Just to note I've had a jb4 in my crv since December with no issues running map 3 now except I disconnected my battery when I did it and it took 15 min to clear all the codes and reset the vss. I also taped the connections just in case as we get alot of water here.
Any thing I can help test for the crv? Ours is a RHD Thai built 2018, same as Aussie, SA and New Zeeland models with the 192 hp motor

No issues on 2018+ CRV, CANBus and everything is working normally. Just need to confirm CANbus on 2017 models as they could be different.

Mobile app stopped connecting today. Worked fine yesterday. Phone sees it via Bluetooth, app opens, hit connect and it sees it and validates the PIN, but then it cycles through a few handshake attempts and errors out. Restarted the car and my phone, no luck. Tried holding the phone directly up to the BT module on the JB4, no luck.
Currently setting up on our extra phones just to troubleshoot if it's a phone issue or a JB4 issue. Once the software's updated and I install the app, I'll report back.

Okay, same issue with the spare phone. Sees it, pairs, validates PIN, but then fails at handshaking.
About to disconnect the tuner and pull it open to confirm all connections are secure.

Well, no idea what the problem was, but...
Disconnected the JB4, cracked it open and checked all connections (they were fine), put it back on, and my phone connected right away. Go figure, haha.

2019 Acura RDX application? -
03-31-2019, 11:32 AM
Hi, just wondering if a jb4 application is in the works for the 2019 RDX? Should be possible as it shares the same motor as the new accord and type R? More power/torque would be great in the RDX. Thanks!

Yes as far as I know, email us photos of the TMAP and MAP sensors and we can confirm and work with you.

OK, so Map 2 has been working great. Reading Map 3 it is a little more boost, and 93 octane is the minimum? Are you seeing more knock control on Map 3, because I hardly see any on Map 2, but I run either Shell or Costco Top Tier 93 octane all the time.
Just starting to consider Map 3 as a daily driver setting, but not sure I need it. I still have Max Boost 1st set to 3psi for the CVT, and have Boost Safety set to 23psi.
Also just got the Dragy in, will have to find some time to make some Map 0 and Map 2 runs.

Best way to evaluate maps if based on actual performance with dragy, to see if the extra boost is giving enough gain to be worth the small extra risk.

Makes sense. End of the day the Accord is a heavier car and the turbo is small. I am def gonna do map 0 vs map 2 0-60 when I get a chance.

I decided to run 91 from Costco, and I'm on Map 3. I see between 0-25% knock control
When I was on Map 4 I pumped 94 from Chevron and didn't see much knock at all
