Default Jb4 + MHD backend flash log check - 06-01-2019, 02:37 PM

Hi I have just done the MHD backend flash on my m240i today.

Mods:
BMS intake
Jb4 + MHD backend flash
4.5inch emission maker pipe
BMW M2 catback exhaust
Shell vpower 99ron (UK fuel)

The backend flash I'm currently using is the jb4_b58_race3.bin file with the jb4 set to map 4 20psi absolute.

Octane looks to be holding you back here. Grab a similar log on map3 so we can compare ignition advance.

Map 3 logs as requested

The backend flash has made the car feel alot smoother coming into boost there is no longer a split second delay and then a kick in the back. Also part throttle boost feels more controllable and not just an on off switch. Also given the extra power I feel in my butt Dyno I feel like the backend flash is money well spent.

The map3 runs are shorter, try for a 1/4 mile style run!

Looks clean. I think I like map3 better for your fuel but run whatever feels best behind the wheel.

I have been running on map 3 for about a month now and everything is good and car pulls very well.

only issue im having is when first coming onto boost i get a large throttle closure which feels like a *cough* or stutter from the car it can also be seen in the logs earlier in this thread and also other more recent logs that i will attach to this post. this isnt an intermittent problem and will do this every time i go full throttle from 2-3k revs

is this something that can be tuned out using the jb4 custom settings or is it more on the bef side of things?

i am very happy with the overall results and will be booking in a dyno session later on this month.
