Hi Arthur,

Welcome to the forum. Firstly it looks like you may have flashed the b48/b58 firmware as opposed to the mini firmware which ends in hex4. Go to the mini section and the last firmware( though old but reliable) will be under Terry’s post as I have also seen you post under b48/b58 which is the wrong section. Use the settings on that post to ensure you are back up and running and post a log of map 1 in the support section requesting a review by BMS (Terry/ Payam) are very proactive and helpful but are also very busy. Piece of advice as you are new here being patient will get you a lot of support!

Link to where you can find mini section is here and under the post from Terry first post you will find the file ending in 4.hex. I have assumed the engine to be b38/48 and newer mini version.

If I mix E85. Are flex fuel wires required on MINI Platform?
If so, what settings am I changing when I do the mix?

Thanks

Log and evaluate it, the fuel pressure wire may be required. Open loop would be set to 60 if equipped.

Got it. One thing to note, my car is equipped with a BMS Meth kit, Nozzle 7.

What would be a good starter? Map 1, FF Wires, FOL 60, Meth (50/50), 2 Gal E85 with 91?

Or is FF wires and FOL Setting not needed with the presence of meth?

Thanks in advance.

Default Same B48 JB4 issues - 11-18-2018, 11:32 AM

I'm having them too:
I've replaced the JB+ with my new JB4 on my 2018 X2 B48. I did the firmware update two days ago and everything seemed fine. So, yesterday morning (I''m running stage 1), after letting the car sit locked overnight, I get this error:
--104302 absolute pressure sensor, intake manifold, plausibility, caster: pressure too low

So, I cleared that code, checked the sensor connections, everything was fine, Drove the car around for the day, and again after sitting locked for a few hours, the error appeared again. I unplugged the JB4, reconnected the OE wiring, and the error didn't appear.

So, I re-installed the firmware, thinking maybe that was the problem. Now, the JB4 is stuck on Stage 4, and won't let me change it. Also, the JB4 is unresponsive using the stick control.

Thats because the X2 menu software hasn't been developed yet. Engine will run fine on the B48 perf software but none of the steering wheel controls/ JB menus work.
I'm waiting myself.

I've got a JB4 (bought earlier this year) that I used to run on my pre LCI F56 JCW. I've recently bought a new LCI JCW with what I think is the B48D engine, there's a few differences looks and layout wise between it and my old one.

Will my current JB4 be ok to plug in to this new engine or are there any issues with that?

Thanks

What Boost are you guys seeing? Map 1 I get like 12-14psi on my F56S. It’s also cold as heck but seems a little low to me.

Thoughts?

What would it take to get meth flow on fuel gauge?

This would give us guys with a boost gauge the ultimate setup. Thanks

Hey just picked up and installed the JB4 kit for my
Manual 2014 F56 Cooper S/ I got the app but it's only displaying boost and which map I am on.
Is this a common issue? I can't see any other stats like RPM, Gear, etc.
Followed all the instructions and also downloaded the firmware on the first page.

Any suggestions? I'm just wondering what I may have done wrong.

I'm thinking maybe I didn't pull the coupling for the blue wire and red wire tight enough?
Included some pictures on the JB4 and wireless kit.

EDIT: Photos don't seem to be showing (Maybe because low post count?) Links below.
Photo 1: JB4 unit
Wireless Unit
Wireless Unit 2

Thank you anyone for your help

Issue related to OBD connection. Check connector and connection to JB4.

Default B38 Map 1 and 2 default values - 02-26-2019, 02:46 PM

Terry,
Would it be possible for you to provide all of the default values for map 1 and 2?
I am looking to use map 6 to fine tune for the pump gas in my area. It would be very helpful to have all of the exact values for each map to use a a starting point for the custom map.

Which are settings that when changed add: more aggressive timing. You can tell me these settings? Would it be possible for you to provide all of the default values? Is it possible to apply this map in the mini F56?

I have a F56 Cooper S + FBO with 104 octane and would like to replicate this setting. Thx!

Is there an easy way to set minimum RPM for methanol? Or does it stick to the meth algorithm?

Thanks
