Default NFZ AZ results for March 11/12 2017 - 03-12-2017, 05:33 PM

Pretty warm day yesterday at NFZ but still a good time. We took the M4 and also took the M5 for it's first NFZ event. Had a couple issues but it was still a good time and good to see everyone.

The M4 was running well so we had high hopes we'd break our previous record of 172.8MPH. Started out with a couple shake down runs to verify the trims for the fuel we were running and the car did 162.5 on map 7 (hitting 26psi) with a 60-130 of 7.82 seconds. We then switched to map 6 that was targeting 35psi to race an 800whp Hellcat. Unfortunately in 4th gear the charge pipe between the intercooler and the the throttlebody let go at the coupler. After one broken hose clamp, replacement hose clamps, and a few attempts to get it to hold, the charge pipe then cracked. A bummer because we showed a 60-130 of 6.51 seconds despite spinning all through 3rd and it to 4th on that run. Either way we'll get that resolved and take the M4 out to Minter for NFZ April 1st to see if we can set a new record.

Ang was driving the M5 and did 160.3mph. IAT's were pretty high and we weren't running any meth or additional fueling so timing was pretty poor. She also had some issues with the under carriage so we'll have to get that fixed but still made quite a few runs after we removed it. Looking forward to see what she can do in that car after we get it completed and dialed in.

What a headache with the damaged parts! But looks like you had a good time at least. 163mph is smoking at 25psi... We signed up for 5 spots for NFZ 4/1, should have a good turnout.
