Too many factors. It was like it was surging or missing ever so slightly at lower RPM. That went away once you got on it.

I also didn't like the UserB=5. The car was acting very weird in SPORT-SPORT mode.
I think this is probably better running straight D-AUTO. But, I never drive that on DCT.

Anyone else with 335is comments???
reload the firmware, make sure ur battery is not weak, and restore default settings when asked. that fixed my problems. then play with the settings.

What's the benefit of the back end flash on the iS?

My trans is still shifting too hard in DS compared to stock. And i mean in normal driving, not WOT

It's just a feature we tossed in for testing. Steptronic guys can try it too. Once we get some addl feedback/logs of downshifts with it we may make further improvements.

You will love BMS flash for DCT. Believe me, what he did last night is amazing. DCT shifts twice fast than before. You do not even recognize when it changes gears. My logs are like Michelangelo`s drawings

I just upgraded from firmware 18 to ---> 20D. The car is running fine and I immediately noticed that early tip in punch.....reminiscent of the JB4! :-)

No driveability issues at all.

Terry, when did you sneak that one in? What can we expect from this, as I fall into the stock turbo (for now), add +50 group.

Try it out. Only change is with the higher PWM targeting / limiter.

I updated to hex 21 from 20D, while on 20D my meth solenoid went bad so I switched to map 7. Today I noticed my meth pump is turning on as if I was on map 3 and I'm 99% sure it wasn't on 20D. I didn't change any settings I only updated firmware. I'm out of the house now and will check my settings when I get home.
Just wondering if anyone has this issue or is meth enacted on all maps now?

Meth has been flowing on map 7 for months. ISO 10 or 11 maybe?

After Terry's response both have meth but map 3 you can set additive and have fail safe active. Map 7 is set boost and no fail safe.
Or something like that

I have an 08 335xi with 6AT steptronic.

Running 20D.

Any advantage for my setup to go to hex 21?

I'm confused on DCT...is this same as 6AT step? I have no paddles....just shifter that goes from D to DS to M. Have alpina flash.

Any help appreciated.

Terry would I have any benefit to ISO 21 or 22 since I have RB'S and not stock turbos? Will this firmware be okay with N20 sensor interface you emailed me with the original ISO 20 test?

RB turbos don't generally rattle much and also operate lower in the PWM range so the latest changes after 20D won't make much difference for you. All firmware is OK with the 3.5bar after whatever number we added it in.
