I have plenty more pictures to upload but have not had the time.

Here is my current situation. Any advice

I just fired up my 08 535i from installing hotside intakes. The car is still in the air and it started right up on first push. It ran fine at idle for about two minutes, then I started revving it and the first few light revs were fine. It came back to idle just fine with no indication of any problems. Then, I opened up the throttle and heard a pop. The car went into reduced power with DSC/DBC/ABS faults and threw codes P1633 (Throttle Valve Adaptation: LimP-Home) & P1417 (Throttle Control Incorrect Air Supply). The revs just bounced from 1000-1500 rpms.

I figured the intakes popped off, and I was correct. I re-installed them with clamps this time and fired the car up. The car is still in limp mode with all the braking errors.

You cleared the codes and they came back? Battery charged? Also, I'm assuming you installed the charge pipe locking clip at the throttle body. Looks like it's missing in the earlier pictures.

Yes I cleared them through torque.

The battery may not be fully charged and am going to charge it today.

Yes the locking clip is in place. And all piping is secure.

I'm sure it is something simple....will the car stay in limp mode if the solution was fixed or does it need to be told to get out limp mode?

It will clear itself on a restart.

Ok, that makes me happy.

The battery is completely dead so it is time to have it tested and charged or replaced. Then we can resuming trouble shooting. But I think this will resolve it. I mean I am hopeful this will solve it.

I plan to repair my leaking dynamic drive sways. But have thoughts of completely removing this system. I feel like having solid sways will eliminate one more thing that can go wrong as it currently did.

I plan to remove them, clean them, reapply new sealant to the boots and re-install. Not sure if this will work, but it beats paying $1800 for a new sway bar. For that price tag it has to be less expensive to remove the system.

Ryan, i think that air filter is a bit small for reaching high psi goals, comparing it to BMS DCI and AFE

don't you think it will starve the car on long pulls

Yes I do,

I bought this filter and intake set up for test fitting purposes. I will be installing a RB EVO intake kit when I replace the turbos. Ordering them today.
