I’m thinking buy a used 2014 x5 50i, without warranty, how’s the reliability? From the f15 forum, I didn’t see much complaints, but I want to ask the precessional here.... Thanks.Greatpeople.me

The TU is better than the original, but be aware that owning a BMW out of warranty is not cheap, especially a V8 with turbos. You're gonna have thousand dollar plus services, and repairs will be even more when things break. Its just the nature of the beast. I got rid of my 750 when the dealer told me $30-40k to rebuild the motor and replace the turbos and intercoolers. A crate N63TU currently lists for just over $30,000, so just be prepared.

Just remember: Almost anybody can afford to drive a BMW, keeping one out of warranty shows your true wealth.
