Default help with e85 fuel it stage 2 - 10-22-2017, 01:37 PM

i have jb4 backend and flash, fmic, fbo .... etc fuel it stage 2 FPL
Can I use 100% E85?

You 'can' but I wouldnt recommend going over E60 or your HPFP wont be able to keep up. If you have PI or even TBI you'll probably be fine to run 100% E85 but E40/E50 is where MY recommendation would be for your setup.

I'd wait for more responses before making a decision.

With our Stage 2 LPFP upgrade, a healthy E-series HPFP will support approximately 430whp on a true E85. Lessor mixes it will support more, and of course greater mixes will support less.

Beyond that you will need supplemental fueling such as PI, DPMI, or a standard meth kit.

With PI, TBI, etc. it always seems like the best ethanol mix is usually 60-80% - I just see that across the board on dynos that are posted here.

Steve, is that simply because it's the best compromise of fuel volume delivery and octane, and that going more in either direction decreases overall power potential?
