Default What mileage will the wastegate rattle appear by? - 12-27-2013, 06:56 PM

Looking at getting a higher mileage E90 as it fits my budget nicely. Everything that commonly fails has been replaced, except of course the turbos/wastegates.

So, is the general consensus that if the turbos will have this issue will have it before 90k? The car im looking at has 93k on it. Is it common to have them fail at higher mileage?

The JB4 virtually eliminated my rattle when I had stock **'s. Now that I have BMS **'s, I can get rid of almost all the noticeable noise, but it is A LOT more apparent with the **'s.

My car has 96k miles, and I am going to try for 200k! Go for it!

How did you fix the rattle using JB4? is it extra configuration needed or is it something automatically done after you installed JB4?

Read the stickies

It can be adjusted via the steering wheel controls on menu 10 & 12.

Fixed my rattle by turning the actuator arm one rotation. With the JB4 I could mask most of the rattle, but the car was lagging, not responsive with the setting I had.
