Hi George,
Thank you for looking into this log.
Any suggestion on aditive to bump to 94 or 100 even?
I wont have time to burn the gas in my tank and replace with 94 before the race on monday.
Or have any suggestions on what could be change to optimise for 1/4 mile?
Thanks

Map 3 is intended for 93/94 but your 91 log looks good so use that at the track if you not going to go with the 94. For a higher map we need to see logs.

Hi George,

Yesterday I noticed something on a long highway ride.

I drove in normal mode the whole time and had to let a drifter pass quickly and accelerate to the next gap that comes to the right. Remember, however, that the car has only series performance. It was not until I switched to race mode and gave it full throttle that JB4's performance was there.

Can it be that the activation threshold in normal mode is too low for the Jb4 to increase performance? After the acceleration process in race mode there was also more power in all other modes.

What could that be?

Hi George,

I noticed something there yesterday. Yesterday in normal mode drove on the highway and have several times fully accelerated and always had a normal performance. It was only when I switched to Race Mode that the jb4 activated full power. After that I had the jb4 performance on all modes.

Is there possibly the threshold for the jb4 activation set too high or what could that be?

Drive map 5 with 102 Octan in Germany

Regards Mic

The modes shouldnt make a difference since the JB4 doesnt look at them.

You need to set up the default email client that the phone uses.

Hi,

But I have a devinitive problem there. In racemode he always has the power immediately but at least after an acceleration attempt she is there.

I have noticed with the map 5 several times now that he sometimes only after a lot of acceleration increases the performance.

Should I just flash the JB4 again?

Greetings Micha

If it is to aggressive ECU will pull power when using map 5.

Best bet is to log the two modes and email to george@burgertuning.com

For a time didn't undestand what you mean. A light go's on in my head for a couple of times. You mean the VW Ecu not the jb4, right there?

Yes, if its set to aggressive the ECU will pull back the timing for safety purposes.

For example, the jb4 requests 25 psi, but the VW Ecu only passes 19 to the waste gate. After several full accelerating changes that and the VW Ecu follows the jb4 requirement again. I can't see any problems with Timings or lean running.

I'm trying to capture that with a log at the moment to show you where it suddenly jumps and again follows the performance of the jb4.

Greetings Micha

Trying to update via the mobile app, data cable and OTG adapter. After downloading the hex file linked in the thread, hitting flash, then update, I get this error "delete timed out. Firmware not erased on JB4". Any advice?

Try delete the hex file and download again and see what it does.
With data cable make sure its secure on the board tightened properly.
On bluetooth make sure you not connected to other devices at the same time and it helps to put phone close to JB4 on some phone models that have weaker bluetooth.

We will look to add the oil temp but cannot find the trans temp on the DME side of things at this stage.

Hi,
My engine check lamp goes on and the power is very low. The JB4 says, a code from "3C66 No Description Found". Can someone translate this code for me, to handle this problem?

greetings Micha

The fault is per below. Something to do with the engine cooling system. Seems a dealer visit will be needed for this as it might relate to the failing water pumps.

If its a 162kw/220ps version then try load the firmware again making sure you not connected to any other bluetooth device.
If its the lower power version it is the wrong firmware and you need to load firmware from Gen3B section.
