Default Pure stage 2 inlet size question - 11-15-2018, 12:15 PM

Hi guys,
Iím about to order a set of pure hi flows and when looking at the compressor housing size,
I currently have stock location silicon intakes, will I be able to use head if I go to the 2ich upgrade? Iím guessing not but always worth asking. What power gains would I get by going to 2inch?
My overall power goal is 600hp with no ethanol as itís not available at the pump in the uk.
Thanks
Adam

You will not be able to use those if you upgrade to 2". Stock inlet size is 1.75"

Ultimately it's up to you, I would go 2" if you're upgrading and sell those stock turbo inlets you have.

We have 2" inlets here:

If you order the turbos with 2 inch compressor inlets then you cannot use your current stock 1.75 size silicone intake inlets.

I personally have the pure stage 2 dd with the stock 1.75 compressor inlets with rob 1.75 silicone intake inlet *****. The 1.75 inlets are proven to make 600whp just fine.

Also 600whp is not a realistic goal with low octane 91/93 octane pump fuel. For that power level you need higher octane fuel like E85 or race gas like c16/q16/ 100octane. Or you would at least need meth/water injection.

From asking other users and vendors about this before, you can use the 1.75" Silicone Inlets on 2" CH inlets, but it will stretch.

Because I didn't want to deal with those problems, I returned my 1.75" VRSF Inlets and bought the 2" VTT Inlet/Aluminum Outlet combo kit for $275 to match up with my 2" Inlet on the VTT Stage 2+.

+1 on the 2" inlets. All that work to swap turbos, inlets have to come off anyway, might as well do it right.
