It's obviously not going to be the JB4 app. Go to the playstore on your device and update the MHD app.

Just had a quick question regarding the pump bef and the e85 bef. I'm going to be flashing here in a few days and i'm somewhat unsure of which one to use, as i'm always straddling 40-50%+ e85, usually somewhere in between. I know the pump bef says 'around 40%', while the e85 says 40%+.

Should I just flash the pump bef, log, then go from there if need be? What's the difference between the two - more aggressive timing? Apologies for the newb question hah. Much appreciated.

Default xdf update - 02-16-2017, 06:32 AM

The xdf file has now the 4 tables for fuel enrichment at startup:

AT and MT are setup identically. But there are 2 versions for VVT and Throttled operations. I'd really like some feedback from heavy ethanol users, to understand the difference between VVT / Throttled operations.
Good bye low temp long cranks!

Hah, must of forgot much of this thread, as I just found the answers more or less throughout the thread

Will try the pump bef first, log a couple then post them in support. If things look good I'll give the e85 bef a try, etc etc.

Any way to do full "hold DTC button" off at startup for an xDrive? I remember jb4 has an option to do a push of the button at startup, but not for xDrive.

Thanks!

I have problems with my car having a low temp long crank, the weather on the east coast is just terrible this year. I thought for a second it was my HPFP going out but after several pulls and continuous driving I see no signs of a limp mode or reduced power. Is this part of the tunes?

Skimming through this entire thread once again there's a question that I have - once I load the BEF and update to the latest ISO firmware, I thought I remembered reading that due to the firmware - maps 1,2,7 have different boost targets? If this the case, and if so what are the updated values? Thanks

If 2/2 is selected it will change the boost targets to be similar to N20 TMAP targets. Since I have a N20 TMAP I do not know what it will set it to. I recall map 1 now being 15 psi.

Hey Terry,
Is it possible to add a race gas flash for those of us who occasionally throw ms109 or 100octane in the car?

Any updates on two step and burble intensity? Those two would be fun to have.

I second this, also for idle raising for the chatter on a single mass flywheel.

For now, the e30 OTS tune has not been updated with tuned values for cranking, I don't think that's necessary. Do you let long cranks using ethanol mix or pump gas?

It's all in tuner pro. Use F2 to get infos. X is RPM, Y temp in C, table is fuel enrichment %.

There's a few of us that have noticed the long cranks in cold weather with Ethanol blends.

Yup I have had that too. Didn't know if that was normal or not. First time really running E85 Blend. Only at start of day. Starts up almost instantly all other times throughout the day.

2/23/17 JB4 MHD N55 Map Release

1) Adjusted load to eliminate a potential misfire problem on higher boost cars
2) Combined USA and EU files so EU vehicles no longer need a dedicated file

i think this is what is causing my check engine light to come up under 7th gear accelerations
i am getting contant 2906 codes only under dct 7th gear highway accelerations
60mph 7th gear on 2200 rpm
push the pedal
check engine - reduced power

this started happening ONLY after the BEF flash on my EU car.

i will try the new BEF flash over the weekend with the EU parameters and see if it fixes it.
never had 2906 before the BEF
