are you using petro ultra 94? how much boost do your logs show with meth? does it taper way down towards redline like it does with stock turbos or does it hold boost to redline.

Yes, we accept stock turbos for the core exchange. That's the normal procedure. You can email info@pureturbos.com with more questions if you wish. Thanks

Are there any difference between the turbos on the LHD and RHD n54 turbos?
And will you guys be developing a Stage 3 setup?

A misfire is not turbo related. It will usually be one of the following in order of most common: spark plug, ignition coil, tuning or cylinder compression related.

We haven't posted N54 Stg2 updates recently. Yet we have consistently been selling numerous sets of N54 PURE Stg2. We have been informed our N54 turbos are much more reliable than some of the other options available. We have been hearing it a lot lately, and many shops have "switched over" to PURE. Which is great news! We consistently see lots of dyno results popping up. Many on IG and FB. We are a busy shop without social media staff, we have lots of new upgrades and projects happening. Some being N54 related

If you have a misfire, post a log in the support section so BMS can help you sort it out. Which plug and gap are you running?

Hey there,

N54 here with Pure Stage 2s. Mine have been running great, about 10,000kms on the clock :D V reliable!!!

I had some smoking initially at 3000kms, and it turned out to be a faulty injector. Smoking stopped completely when the injector was changed. so I'd suggest that you go through the standard procedure that all of us do when we get misfires, which is to check your spark plugs, ignition coils, and injectors.

It would be very very rare for a turbo to cause you to have misfires, and as Pure has mentioned do post your logs onto the help section so that the good people here can advise you accordingly. We are blessed to have the ability to log our engines so use it to your advantage :D

There's like a 1% chance your misfire is caused by turbos, and the only way they would cause it is if you were running to much boost which would then lead back to tune related or hardware related, not turbo related. I'd be checking the usuals as stated above, plugs, coils, and injectors.

I wasn't saying the turbos were the cause of my misfire, my turbos are excellent!!! I have a front 02 sensor that went to crap, which is giving me a 2C9D (Lambda probe heating in front of catalytic converter 2, input signal) which is making me run lean. My afr2 is reading 20.0 which is kicking me to map 4. I have the ngk 5992's gapped at .22. Once i get this 02 sensor il send some logs!
