quick question for Terry, I have a JB3 pin out that i upgraded to the JB4 G4 board. Also currently running FBO WW meth kit... i would like to upgrade to the G5 ISO along with the 2step setting in the next month. My question is if i can still use the pinout version harness i am currently running or will i have to upgrade to the pnp version. i know there are a lot of wire changes from the older versions to the new not only in the BMW harness but also in the JBox harness. just want to figure out whats best to do so i can continue to upgrade in the future. thanks in advance for any help!

Most 91 fuels do contain 10 ethanol.... but the total octane supplied is still 91.
When they mix in ethanol they can use a lower grade of gas to come back to 91.

I'm running with a pinout configuration, ISO with CPS, SLD, and *** fix...no issues. Just gotta be careful and double/triple check everything! I also heat shrinked every connection...I'm a bit anal that way I guess. But no issues!

Default CPS wire install or not - 03-06-2013, 12:28 PM

I'm about to install my G5 ISO. I have all the wires for CPS, SLD & NLS. I am mostly stock with exhaust and intake right now, but I am probably looking at Meth and/or *** soon. My question is there any benefit/drawback to installing the CPS wire. I figured it was better to have everything and install it once in case I needed it in the future.

Yes, especially if you are using low octane fuel such as 91. You're also going to want to hold off on the using that NLS until you have ***...other wise your likely to ruin your stock ***.

Thanks! I always use 94 octane, but I will hook up the CPS since I'll be in there. As for the NLS I thought it has hard on your cats if you use the 2-Step limiter, not the NLS so much.

What tune are you running?

Your profile says JB3, you're asking for JB4 g4 firmware, and you're in a g5 thread

If you're running g4...you can find the firmware at the end of the first post in this thread

Just so I could rest easy,

Does it matter if I cut the other side of the diodes instead, unlike the picture?

You can cut either diode leg.... or both if you want to totally remove the diodes.

Yes I think ISO17 is pretty close to being the first ISO firmware out of BETA. There is just one little bug I've noticed. On rare occasion when the DME wakes up (when you are outside the car) I've heard the wastegates move. And they shouldn't. Has anyone noticed this? If so drop me a note as I have a patch I want you to try.
