At what power level, or how often do n54’s spin crank hubs? I’m on pure 600’s e50 mix and going to go PI soon, just have that worry of spinning the hub in the back of my head. If it’s something I need to replace before I turn the car up then I will.

It's not so much the power level that causes the failure. Manual trans I believe have more issues with this in general.
BMW design is sh1t.
Oh and if N54_Destroyer is driving it....its just a matter of time, LOL

Oh with N54_Destroyer its only a matter of a couple pulls. My manual transmission e93 spun the hub with 4 guys loaded in it , with my 6875 single turbo at about 7500 rpms. You end up junkiing the valves and potentially the pistons. I sell insane crank hubs which in my opinion are the best way to forsure prevent a crank hub failure. N54 destroyer destroyed his buddys hub at just like a 20 psi tune on daw turbos

I’ve been summoned lmao. I spun my friends cars crank hub at 17psi on daws with e50 in the tank. Stock clutch held on longer then the crank hub.

What was mileage on the E93 when it let go ?

700whp auto and wife spun it during a 1/2 mile race. Not sure if the 8500rpms was pre or post spin...I wasn't driving and she's not sure...she was too caught up in the moment.

First time I've heard about an auto spinning the hub. Quite interesting would be keen on more details on the setup if on twins or single . Mine was on a built motor which I noobly reused friction disks. Brand new crank hub bolt though torqued to a touch beyond spec. 30 psi out the 6875 when it let go in the top of 3rd around 7500 rpm

Motor had 50K miles (over 30K) tuned and had a hard life. There was tons of testing done on that car and we ran a bunch of dynos and events in that car. The day before it was running at a 1/4 mile event (digs and rolls) but it spun it at 1/2 mile event also running digs and rolls.

It had twins on it.
