Frustrating update...

Anyone else with a level 10 full rebuild, did you have to reset adaptions when you got the transmission back in?

It shouldn't be slipping at 20PSI on a 62mm, that just doesn't make sense What's your fuel? Trying to get a vague sense of where WTQ stands.

IIRC Terry just tossed his built 6AT in and went for it. Do you have a BT cable? Should be easy to reset transmission behavior, though if i'm honest, i'd be very surprised if that fixed it.

It's no different than any other single turbo 6AT car; go above 520-550WTQ and it's a coin flip. Gotta keep spool modest, personally I have no plans to go above 22PSI with the 3586.

FWIW, the cars usually play OK with 3rd and 4th gear pulls. It's the half mile 3-4-into 5 pulls that really load things up, and toast the transmission.

I am at 23psi and I am beginning to wonder if this platform is worth it honestly. To me you spend ask this money on these turbo kits and supporting mods and you can't even use close to the power it's capable of. I can put this amount of money into another platform and laugh at a 335I lol! I think my E90 has VERY limited time.

At 20 psi it should be around only 400-420wtq up to redline. How is this happening??

these cars are weak honestly. The motor is strong but nothing else is. Its like a bodybuilder having HUGE heart that can pump blood to the muscle but no muscle to fill. I agree 20psi it shouldn't happen but he probably just had a weak tranny. My tranny has 145,000 doing fine with 1,000's of RB turbo pulls, and 50-75 23psi pulls.

Remove your jb4 and run a flash tune only from wedge using mhd and see if your transmission problems goes away.

I've already talked to Wedge and am going to increase my TQ Eff Divisor a bit to see if that helps.

hate to say this, I wouldn't expect it to last that long if you turn boost up. I hope it does since that may persuade me to keep mine.

It's running less torque than stock turbos though (400-420wtq at 20psi) so I'd at least expect t to hold that. It not shifting at 20psi is completely unacceptable.

Edit:
I'll calm down for now and see if even more pulls to adapt resolves this.

I'm sorry to hear this. I think a lot could be tuning related. When me and a buddy went from the AT flash to the MT flash, we had issues shifting out of 2nd and into 5th on occasion. With the newer versions of the E85 flash, haven't experienced it as much.

I would definitely try to reset adaptations, as well as trying a different backend to see if it does any better.

My plan is to just daily my RB 335 and buy a corvette, boost it, and call it a day.

That is kind of sad .You have all these turbos like motiv 750 and 900 , FFTEC and you
can not even go beyond 600+HP due to transmission not shifting in higher gears.
What is the point of buying even a level ten tranny for $5,000 and you can not even used
it beyond 600HP.

My trans was acting up with JB4 until I ran MHD. I like the JB4 features but honestly don't care for anything else it has to offer.

I think it's a waste of time. You've already got the flash load at 19psi here with full torque. It's the same thing any flash only setup would run. What you will find is that sometimes it will shift, sometimes it won't, at least at higher boost levels. To be doing this at 20psi is depressing. Maybe its low on fluid? Maybe adaptions will kick in and it will shift? This is the same issue that recently cropped up on mine in 5th at 26psi. At 23psi it shifted OK.

Dreamer. Those flash only maps don't work well at all > 20psi.

I still don't understand all the hype and hope behind this transmission "upgrade" and the company selling it.

The Level 10 has a spotty reputation at best. They sell an "upgraded" transmission with literally no information on their website describing exactly what they do to upgrade it. No testing, nothing.

Would people honestly shell out $3500+ for upgraded twins if RB and Vargas had the same selling practices?

I am sorry to hear about your issues. From someone who has a auto and was ready to turn up the boost myself this is very disappointing news from you and Terry over the weekend. My question is what is Level 10 saying to you guys who spent 4-5k just to see subpar results. Please tell us what they are prepared to do for someone who just spent this kind of cash. I am curious to see what level of support they will offer once these problems are brought to their attention. I know we are pushing the envelope here but man for 5k for what is supposed to be 1000hp ready thats very disturbing business practice to sell a trans rated for that and be slipping with 600/700 hp.
