Default JB4 Map 7 on 320i? - 07-05-2019, 12:11 PM

Hello, everyone:

I'm looking to find out the truth when it comes to using map 7 on a 320i. I've done plenty of reading and I understand that it is an absolute target map and that you need race gas or at least a high enough octane to ensure things don't lean out and your engine is okay. However, this isn't much 320i talk in general as it is. That being said, here is my mod list:

-2014 BMW 320i (EWG)
-JB4 Stage 2 tune
-C*tless ********
-Injen Evolution Intake
-E40 (320is seem to love the stuff)
Straight pipe exhaust
-NGK iridium plugs (gapped at .022)

What are the dangers of running map 7 with this setup? I'm mixing 40% ethanol (105 octane) with 93 octane pump gas, putting me at roughly 98-99 octane. Is this sufficient? I've never tried the map and was really looking for something more consistent than map 5, but I want solid knowledge on map 7 too. I'm not a person who frequently redlines the car whatsoever, I hardly shift past 5k and am just looking for more zip around the city in the low and mid ranges, with occasional higher RPMs. Thank you for any input you provide.
