Default jb4 EWG connector - 06-08-2019, 11:26 PM

2013 328i N26 EWG

is the EWG connector add on for older jb4 or is it a requirement for EWG equipped vehicles? or is this only for the N55?
i have had my jb4 on for over a year with no issues and just started seeing that there is a add on ewg connector that supposed to connect to the ewg to the jb4. im unsure if i need it or im good to go.
thanks

For the N20 its only needed for 320i models or 328is running lots of boost. You'll be fine without it. It's not even active on map1 or map2.

Can you provide pictures of your DB25 connector so we can see what wires and pins are going to each?

Your wiring looks correct. Would you be able to get a log on map 2 for us to take a look at your settings?

Hmm, can you get me a photo of your JB4 connections for the Tmap and map. Also update your firmware as well.

Looks all good here. I think what Payam is seeing in the log on psi2 is just a bug in the firmware I'll have to check out later.

So all connections and logs looks good except that I'm still over boosting when on map 3,6, and 7. If I unplug the ewg and run all the maps they are fine. Should I just leave it unpug?
